Chloe’ Mae’s Coffee Corner Talks Part 9- Christmas Holiday

For Christmas last year the family and I went to one of my favorite places on earth- Florida!!

It was so nice to get away for the Christmas season, and even nicer that we were able to go to the beach! While it was colder back home, we all enjoyed 60 degree weather, the beach, the ocean, and the fact that we could wear shorts in December!

Along with the trips to the Naval Aviation museum, beaches, and flea markets we were able to drive around the University of West Florida campus. I hope to transfer there after I finish my bachelors degree!

The view from our condo’s balcony! It was so peaceful to sit and listen to the waves crash onto the shore.

The pier on one of the beaches. Every time we go to this particular beach I end up taking so many pictures of the pier……then change my cover photo on Facebook to one of the pictures of said pier. (:

The above picture was my favorite of the pier…and the picture I picked for my cover photo!

The ‘Pensacola Beach’ beach ball shaped water tower is in the background of this picture. It always amazes me how white the sand is and how blue the sky is at the beach!

The ocean was so gorgeous on Christmas Eve, what better place to be?

Our itty bitty sandman….it was A LOT harder to build than I initially thought. My sister and I accidentally destroyed the first sandman while attempting to fix it. Dad ended up making this one…good job Dad!

My sister bought me this adorable turtle bracelet! I absolutely LOVE turtles! It was by far my most favorite gift. (:

Our Christmas bauble cake. It was almost too cute to eat! (;

On one of the last days of our holiday the sister and I went for a walk along the coast of the bay behind our condo. I enjoyed all the one on one time we got to spend together.

A gorgeous hibiscus flower. Usually I don’t care for the color orange, but I think that in this case it’s just lovely.

The Christmas tree at the boardwalk, I loved the blue ornaments and the starfish!

Of course we went back to the Naval Aviation Museum while we were there! It was our second time going and it was amazing. You could probably go every day that the museum is open and see something new every time!

I know that this post is a couple months late, but I wanted to share a few of my favorite photos from our trip. How did you spend your Christmas holiday?

Coffee- Check

Chrome Book- Check

Comfy Clothes- Check

Messy Hair- Check

Okay, now let’s move on to a more serious topic. Are y’all ready?

You are not alone. You matter a lot to people around you. Don’t think that you are lonely. Here lately I’ve had many people tell me that they feel alone, that they aren’t worth it to some people, that they won’t ever find someone. All that is FALSE….Very, very false.

I’m not always great at wording things, and when these people came up to me and told me this saying “Don’t think that” didn’t seem enough. Yes, I want to help them and give them the best advice that I can, but I don’t always have the words to say. I can listen to them all day long, but when it comes to giving them words of advice and encouragement I sometimes lack in that area.

So this post tonight is my way of telling them that I care for them, they matter to me, and that they are not alone. I’m telling that to them, and I’m telling that to you if you feel this way.

You are not alone. I’m here for you, your family is here for you, and there are those that you interact with on a daily basis that are there for you- co-workers, classmates, neighbors. We care for you, love you, want you in our lives. We may not always see each other for various reasons, but that doesn’t change how any of us feel about you. You matter to us and we would do anything in our power to help you and make things better.

I wish I could make things better for y’all. I wish that I could snap my fingers and-BOOM- make things better, but I can’t.

These are the things that I can do for you:

  1. I can listen to you. I can listen to you talk about the things going on in your life. I can listen to the crazy jokes y’all tell or the clumsy thing you’ve done today. I can listen to your plans and hopes and dreams.
  2. I can be there for you. I may not be able to be there for you psychically when you need me to be, but I can be a phone call, text, Facetime call away.
  3. I can pray for you. It may not seem like much to some, but I know that to y’all it means a lot.
  4. I can do my best to make you laugh and smile when you’re down. Whether this is by cracking a dumb joke, a story of a clumsy thing I’ve done that day, or a funny picture.

These are the ways I can show you that you’re not alone. I know it’s not much, but it’s my best and that’s what I want to give y’all. Have a good night everyone.
