Preparing for Pleasant Hill

I apologize for not being as diligent posting as I normally am. I have been busy preparing for the Pleasant Hill Reenactment. There has been lots of traveling, sewing, cooking, and packing going on for me!

On the first of April I went and visited with a dear friend of mine to help her with her corset. She lives about 2 and 1/2 hours away from me and it was my first time driving there and driving any distance like that by myself!

While there we went over food prep and sent this picture of teas to another friend of ours to see if we will need them. We all do love a tea party!

A few days after that I came home to this amazing table! My dad whipped this up made completely of pallets! The middle bar comes out and the legs fold in for a nice reenacting table. I have been wanting one for a while now and I’m so happy I finally have one!

At long last I also *finally* finished my pantaloons. I have been needing some ever since I misplaced mine a year ago. Well now I have them!

I am making oatmeal for Saturday’s breakfast and thought dried apples would be a lovely touch to it. I will post how to dry them when I get back and settled into a ‘normal’ routine!

How my car looked on Day 1 of packing…

How it looked yesterday. It is a *lot* different now that there is more stuff in the back!

In just 4 hours I will be on the road headed to Pleasant Hill, Louisiana! I will be sure to take lots of pictures to share! Have a great weekend!
